The Department of Public Safety at the Medical University of South Carolina is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for patients, students, visitors, faculty, and staff.

Our nationally accredited department maintains a highly trained staff of sworn police personnel appointed and commissioned as State Constables by the Governor of South Carolina. Officers are empowered to enforce the laws of South Carolina with statewide jurisdiction and arrest powers
