Travel around Charleston, whether by car, truck, van, bus or motorcycle can be quite confusing to those unfamiliar with the city.

With its many one-way streets and narrow historic lanes, transportation in and around Charleston is a lot more complicated than it seems. Many streets do not allow trucks, while others are so bumpy due to cobblestones that you would probably not want to travel them in your car or motorcycle either.
